Right of Way Project Manager

Job Description

Right of Way Consultants, LLC is seeking an experienced Right of Way Manager to provide professional services for the acquisition of real property.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Management of complex ROW Acquisition, Relocation, and/or Utility projects with minimal supervision.
  • Regular travel to projects & project meetings
  • May attend public meetings and hearings & provide ROW information on affected properties
  • Review various appraisals, engineering materials, legal descriptions and mapping for understanding of a project and its purpose
  • Anticipate ROW & Relocation challenges
  • Analyze project scope for ROW assignments & assist in coordinating the work group of ROW personnel
  • Interpret legal issues in regards to real property
  • Analyze & review real estate documents
  • Create, monitor, & adhere to project schedules
  • Review ROW & Relocation packages for quality control and coordinate submission to subcontractors and NCDOT

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of seven (7) years Right of Way (ROW) experience
  • Prior experience with NCDOT preferred
  • Working Knowledge and understanding of Design Build projects
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relative field
  • Current Real Estate or Broker’s License
  • Prior ROW Project Management experience in North Carolina
  • Strong understanding of how to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Understanding of Right of Way (ROW) laws
  • Knowledge of the Uniform Relocation Act of 1970
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite
  • Prior experience with creating & maintaining project schedules and timelines
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and projects
  • Excellent Oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Be able to successfully perform multiple tasks and abbreviated deadlines
  • Ability to travel to projects & meetings throughout North Carolina
